The stands were packed. Some people were there to cheer for the Lady Seahawks or Lady Raiders at Boothbay Region High School Jan. 23, but others were there to cheer on the Lady Dribblers' performance. The Lady Dribblers are coached by Boothbay Region Elementary School teacher Barbara Crocker and feature 20-plus young girls performing with basketballs.

The gym was a beehive of activity on Senior Night with the BRHS Pep Band on hand, the BRHS cheerleaders holding a handmade banner for the basketball team's entrance for warm-ups and cheering on the team during the game, the Huck-a-Hawk fundraiser for Project Graduation and the usual First Hoop contest.
